Professor Khlustin
receives upgrade
In Vladivostok, the newly-upgraded training
vessel Professor Khlustin, operated
by Admiral G.I. Nevelskoy Maritime State
University (Vladivostok), was unveiled before
representatives of Russia’s maritime
and academic communities. The ship’s
first voyage with cadets from the Faculty
of Marine Engineering is scheduled for the
end of May, 2013.

River Register Certification
Starting from April 10th 2013 the company Eliche Radice S.p.A. is
the first Italian company certified by the Russian River Register.
The company has long been active on the Eastern European markets
in which it operates with satisfaction and programs more than
interesting for the future. In 2013, Radice propellers will exhibit
at the IMDS of St. Petersburg in July and at the NEVA, also in St.
Petersburg, but in September.

Strategic Cooperation Agreement
to Develop Coal Resources
in Russia
Moscow, 22 March, 2013 - En+ Group, Russia’s leading diversified
natural resources industrial group, Shenhua Group, the
world’s largest coal producer, and China Development Bank today
announced the signing of an agreement on strategic cooperation
on coal resources development in the East of Russia. The
agreement was inked in Moscow by Artem Volynets, CEO of En+
Group, Zhang Xiwu, Chairman of Shenhua Group and Chen Yuan,
Chairman of China Development Bank, in front of the Deputy Prime
Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin and the Vice-
Premier of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yang.
- New Seaport Is Given
a Name
The Government of Russia by its regulation
dated 25.04.2013 № 374 gave the
name "Sabetta" to the new seaport, which
is being constructed in the Yamalo-Nenets
Autonomous District at the coast of the Ob
mouth of Kara Sea. Its boundaries were set
earlier by Government of Russia regulation
dated 26.02.2013 № 242-r.

The appearance and inclusion of high-tech vessels in Russian
shipping company fleets, and the considerable involvement
of local enterprises in their construction, contributes to the
development of Russia’s domestic maritime and shipbuilding
industries.
- Aker Arctic to design
new icebreaker
On 16th of April, 2013 the Finnish Transport Agency
signed a contract with Aker Arctic Technology Oy for
the design of the new icebreaker for the Finnish Government.
Aker Arctic in cooperation with ILS Oy will design
the vessel and prepare the technical documents needed
to arrange the tender for its construction in compliance,
take responsibility over the performance of the vessel,
and will assist the Transport Agency in negotiations with
shipyards later this autumn.
